PRISMA® PVT for the regeneration of geothermal probes - efficiency that goes deep

Hier sieht man wie eine Erdsonde regeneriert wird. ein Hybridkollektor von TWL kann helfen.

Geothermal probes are a reliable, emission-free source of heating energy - especially in new buildings and in densely populated urban neighbourhoods. However, the heat input into the ground from solar radiation, air temperature and rainfall is limited to a depth of 10-15 metres. From a depth of 50 metres, the geothermal heat flow from the earth's interior is effective. High extraction rates, especially in borehole fields, inevitably lead to a continuous cooling of the source temperature of the boreholes. The source temperature of the heat pump decreases and at the same time the annual coefficient of performance of the heat pump. The electricity and operating costs increase continuously as a result.
With PRISMA® PVT, you can utilise the sun's energy to actively regenerate your geothermal probe fields: The modules generate electricity and heat at the same time. The latter is fed into the ground in summer via brine heated by the PVT system - the ground surrounding the probes is thus regenerated. The extraction capacity of your geothermal system is thus permanently maintained and operation remains efficient in the long term.
Just one Kelvin increase in temperature on the source side of the heat pump improves the seasonal performance factor of the heat pump by around 2.7 % - a major lever for efficiency and cost-effectiveness. A geothermal heat pump regenerated by a PVT system can achieve an annual coefficient of performance of 5!

Your advantages at a glance:

  • Active regeneration for permanently stable probe performance
PRISMA® supplies the ground with targeted heat - for constant source temperatures, even during intensive use.
  • Lower operating costs due to higher efficiency
A better temperature level reduces the power consumption of the heat pump and extends the service life of the entire system.

  • Fewer boreholes, more planning security
Regeneration reduces the required number of geothermal probes or the drilling depth - this saves considerable costs for the probe drilling field

  • Eligible & sustainable
The combination of renewable energy and efficient operation is often subsidised - e.g. via BEG or special geothermal programmes.

How PRISMA® PVT works:

1. Generate electricity and heat at the same time

The PRISMA® PVT modules supply electrical energy for operation - and utilise the back of the module to generate heat.

2. Heat input into the ground

The energy is actively fed into the probe field via heated brine - to thermally charge the subsurface.

3. Long-term stabilisation of the swelling temperature

Continuous regeneration keeps the temperature level in the ground stable

Promotion and economic efficiency

The regeneration of geothermal probes is doubly worthwhile: you ensure economical operation for decades - and at the same time benefit from attractive funding opportunities. PRISMA® PVT reduces the cost of drilling boreholes, increases the SPF and significantly reduces running costs.

Conclusion

Making geothermal energy future-proof - with TWL at your side

Geothermal energy is a strong foundation for the energy transition - if the source remains efficient in the long term. PRISMA® PVT RBX supplies the energy required to recharge thermally depleted fields and to plan new plants efficiently.
Whether in new builds, renovations or high-density neighbourhoods: PRISMA® helps to operate geothermal probes sustainably.
