PRISMA® PVT 4.0 - Hybrid collector for the Pitched roof installation

PRISMA® PVT HORIZON - Hybrid collector for the Flat roof installation.
The Prisma® PVT 4.0 collectors combine a PV double glass high-performance module with a highly efficient copper absorber installed on the rear. The dimensions and external appearance from the visible side are identical to the PRISMA® 1Sun® PV modules. The combination of PRISMA® PVT 4.0 and PRISMA® 1SUN® creates a harmonious overall appearance on the roof.
A water-glycol solution flows through the rear absorber. The individual modules are hydraulically connected to form a system and the waste heat from the PV cells and the ambient heat is stored in the TWL buffer storage tank via a circulation pump using a heat exchanger. The preheated heating water can then be raised to a higher temperature level by various conventional boilers or a heat pump.
The monocrystalline photovoltaic module simultaneously produces electrical energy, which is fed into the domestic grid via an inverter. Electricity production is significantly increased by cooling the PV cells. The performance data of the PV cells are usually specified at 25° C. In summer, however, surface temperatures of up to 80° C are reached. The output of the PV cells decreases by approx. 0.4 per cent per degree increase in temperature. At a cell temperature of 75° C, this is a 20 per cent reduction in output! With regard to the electrical energy generated, the focus should be on maximising self-consumption, as the feed-in tariffs are far lower than the cost of purchasing electricity from the energy supplier.
In addition to the use of solar batteries, this can also be supported by the "Power to Heat" system concept. Excess solar power is converted into heat energy using a heating element and stored in the buffer cylinder. If your heat pump is "Smart Grid Ready", it can be switched on as an alternative to the heating element. This energy is then available to generate hot water and support the heating circuit.

Are you looking for the right PV module for your PRISMA® PVT 4.0 system?
The PRISMA® 1SUN® PV module is the ideal addition for anyone who prioritises performance, quality and design when it comes to roof use. For large-scale projects, industrial halls, residential complexes or public buildings in particular, it is not only the energy yield that counts, but also the appearance.
If a PRISMA® PVT 4.0 system is already installed, but further roof areas remain unused and no more thermal energy is required, the 1SUN® module comes into play:
The identical design creates a consistent, high-quality roof appearance - perfect for sophisticated architecture and clear lines.
